Danielle Montalto-Bly
Danielle Montalto-Bly has focused her work on matrimonial and family law since the early days of her career. While studying at New York Law School, Danielle sought ways to use her growing knowledge to help her community. She regularly volunteered with the Sanctuary for Families, where she had the opportunity to help low-income, domestic abuse victims navigate the divorce process. She credits this early work for forging her desire to continue providing empathetic legal services to clients facing emotionally-heavy cases.
Outside of her coursework and pro bono services for the Sanctuary for Families, Danielle interned for two private matrimonial law firms in Manhattan, one of which was Meier, Franzino & Scher, PLLC. Upon being admitted to the New York State Bar, First Department, Danielle was hired by the firm as a matrimonial and commercial litigation associate. She gained experience helping clients through high net worth divorces and commercial litigation cases.
Two years later, she moved to Zelenitz, Shapiro & D’Agostino, P.C. After six years as a matrimonial and family law associate at the firm, Ms. Montalto-Bly was promoted to managing associate. As such, she oversaw a team of associates for the general practice firm.
Danielle understands the inconvenience of substantial counsel fees that arise from unanticipated legal issues. Because of this, she works efficiently with the goal of securing a beneficial outcome for child custody, child support, property division, divorce, and other family law cases without wasting time and resources on applications based in emotion or retaliation. Danielle knows the laws and the legal system. She has the insight into perspectives and patterns of local judges, referees, and support magistrates alike which she uses to help her clients reach a prompt resolution to whatever they're facing.
